About the Artist
In 2025, Dutch trance icon Armin van Buuren is proving once again why he remains at the forefront of the global electronic music scene. From marathon sets in Ibiza to surprise collaborations at major festivals, his year so far has been a celebration of both his legacy and his willingness to evolve.
Summer kicked off in spectacular fashion with the opening of his Ushuaïa Ibiza residency on June 8, where Armin delivered an epic six-hour open-to-close set — his first marathon of that scale on the island in eight years. The performance blended fan favorites, deep cuts, and unreleased tracks, giving the crowd an immersive journey through his sound. The residency runs through September and promises a rotating cast of high-profile guest artists.
On the release front, Armin unveiled Breathe Out, the second half of his ambitious two-part album Breathe. Combined with last year’s Breathe In, the project spans 51 tracks, showcasing a wide emotional and sonic range. Standout singles like “Let It Be for Love” — complete with a sun-soaked Ibiza-shot video — reflect a more personal and reflective side of the producer while keeping his signature uplifting energy intact.
Festival season has also seen Armin at his most dynamic. At Ultra Music Festival Miami, he performed twice over the weekend, mixing timeless hits like “Gimme The Love” and “Follow the Light” with fresh surprises, including remixes of 50 Cent and Billie Eilish. The crowd roared when he debuted his new track “Dream a Little Dream” and brought Martin Garrix on stage for an unannounced collaboration.
With major shows, a sprawling new album, and headline appearances across the globe, 2025 is shaping up to be another landmark year for Armin van Buuren — one where he continues to bridge the past, present, and future of electronic music.
