Founded in 1994 by Grammy-winning duo Deep Dish, Yoshitoshi Recordings quickly made its mark as a cornerstone of dance music. Based in Washington, D.C., the label has never confined itself to a single genre—instead releasing a rich spectrum of house, techno, and progressive tracks that reflect Deep Dish’s visionary tastes.
Yoshitoshi’s imprint on dance culture is deep. Its catalog includes landmark releases like Yoshiesque compilations by Deep Dish, the influential In House We Trust series, and electrifying albums like Yoshitoshi Ibiza: Mixed by Sharam. It also brought unforgettable singles like Eddie Amador’s “Rise,” PQM’s “You Are Sleeping,” and Narcotic Thrust’s US dance chart–topping “Safe From Harm”.
Celebrating 25 years in 2019, Yoshitoshi released a special trilogy of compilations—Yoshitoshi 25: House, Techno, and Melodic House—featuring 25 remastered classics and fresh reinterpretations by a host of established and emerging artists.
Over decades, Yoshitoshi has nurtured a who’s who of electronic talent—from genre legends to forward-looking producers—helping collectively shape global dance culture.
