Founded in 2022 by Brazilian techno standout Victor Ruiz, Volta Records isn’t just another label—it’s a mission-driven creative hub. Ruiz launched the imprint with the Pura Vida EP, immediately signaling its high-energy, emotionally charged sound and setting a bold new standard in modern techno.
Volta’s vision goes beyond music. Built on three pillars—music, community, and charity—the label pledges 10% of its profits to causes chosen by each releasing artist. Ruiz founded Volta to give nonconforming artists a platform and a home for music that doesn’t always fit into traditional categories, while fostering meaningful community and social impact.
From the start, Volta became a fast-rising name in the scene. CNight Bazaar ranked it among the top four techno labels just two years after inception. Releases by respected artists like Wehbba, Thomas Schumacher, Alex Stein, and Balthazar & Jackrock underline its sonic range and commitment to quality.
