About The Artist

Brazilian-born and Europe-based since 2018, Victor Ruiz has been commanding dance floors worldwide since his debut in 2013. Known for his mesmerizing, high-energy DJ sets and deep, dynamic techno productions, he’s become a staple on the global club circuit.
Raised on the sounds of heavy metal—thanks to his older brother—and gifted a bass guitar at age nine, Ruiz transitioned from rock to electronic music during high school. He eventually earned a degree in electronic music production, and emerged with a keen sense for layering emotion in his tracks using minimal elements.
His sound—often described as dark, hypnotic, and melodically rich—has found homes on powerhouse labels like Drumcode, Suara, Noir Music, and Senso Sounds. He’s also gained acclaim for his unofficial edits of classics like The Prodigy’s “Breathe” and Depeche Mode’s “Everything Counts.”
Ruiz travels constantly, bringing his signature sound to major festivals like Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza. His live performances are praised for their vibrancy and powerful connection with the audience—“mesmerizing” is a word frequently used.
Beyond DJing, Ruiz is the founder of Volta Records, a label under which he continues releasing forward-thinking techno and supporting emerging talent.
At his core, Victor Ruiz is dedicated to music’s emotional and communal power. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, he emphasizes authenticity and human connection—believing that as DJs, it’s our role to serve the music and guide listeners through immersive sonic journeys.
