Founded in 1998 by Tiësto (Tijs Verwest) and Arny Bink under the Black Hole Recordings umbrella, In Trance We Trust (ITWT) carved out its niche by delivering a harder, club-focused edge to trance music. The label’s name reflects its mission to celebrate trance as a powerful, unifying force—and since its inception, it’s become one of the most recognized sublabels in the genre.
ITWT is best known for its iconic compilation series, featuring a rotating lineup of trance’s finest DJs—including Misja Helsloot, Stigma, Johan Gielen, Cor Fijneman, Phynn, Bobina, and Menno de Jong. These albums have solidified the label’s reputation for delivering energizing, forward-driving mixes that resonate with clubs and festivals alike. One standout, the fourth volume mixed by Johan Gielen, even spent five weeks on the Norwegian charts, peaking at number nine.
The label has also championed standout artists and releases through its singles and album catalog—from Eyal Barkan and First State to Tom Cloud and Midway—bringing fresh voices to trance listeners worldwide.
