About The Artist

From his roots in Frankfurt’s vibrant early ’90s club scene, Gregor Tresher emerged as a techno innovator with a profound affinity for melody. His breakthrough came in the mid-2000s, with acclaimed releases like Still and Neon, setting the tone for his emotive, driving style.
His 2008 title track A Thousand Nights became the top-selling techno track on Beatport, cementing his reputation for crafting timeless, dancefloor-defining music.
In 2009, Tresher launched Break New Soil, a label that allowed him to explore deeper sonic textures and release full-length projects including The Life Wire, Nightcolors, and Quiet Distortion. These works showcase his gift for layering emotional resonance over club-ready rhythms.
Tresher’s adaptability and vision continue to define his legacy. He seamlessly merges melodic elements with techno’s pulse—earning renewed acclaim in 2023 and 2024 as Producer of the Year in major German publications, especially after producing Sven Väth’s critically acclaimed Catharsis album.
Today, he remains a global fixture on techno stages—performing from Berlin to Sydney—while still driven by a passion for melody and authenticity that first captured audiences three decades ago.
