About The Label

Launched in 2009 by techno visionary Gregor Tresher, Break New Soil emerged as a platform for emotionally rich, melodic-driven techno that spans deep underground vibes to peak-hour intensity. The label reflects Tresher’s passion for melody, atmosphere, and technical precision—crafted over decades of DJing and production.
Based in Frankfurt, Break New Soil has released a series of Tresher’s own full-length works—albums like The Life Wire, Lights From The Inside, Nightcolors, and Quiet Distortion—highlighting his evolving sound from introspective rhythms to club-ready power.
Break New Soil has also become a launchpad for standout artists such as Dosem, Aural Float, Marco Effe, Romano Alfieri, KMYLE, and many others; while Tresher’s own cutting-edge remixes—including a magnetic rework of The Streets’ “3 Minutes to Midnight”—have found fans across club lineups and dancefloor playlists.
More than a label, Break New Soil embodies a musical ethos: rich textures, narrative-driven techno, and a curated community of artists pushing forward the genre’s emotional and creative boundaries. For many listeners, it’s where danceable tech meets thoughtful, immersive design.
